Objectives
In order to support its property portfolio, Cadent, the UK’s largest gas distribution network established a Property Management Framework (81buildings supporting circa 6500 employees) and required a contractor to manage this framework at a local / regional level over a 3 year period.
Solutions
WFS were selected as one of the main contractor to manage this Framework from a competitive tender with 5 other consultancies. The projects are range in value from £30k up to £5m. The support WFS are to provide includes projects such as building repairs, refurbishments, architectural work and asset replacements, along with new build project activities.
As Cadent’s sites and buildings are part of the Critical National infrastructure, itis of paramount importance that any work/services carried out are performed on time and are of the highest quality.
Benefits
Cadent were able to continue operating normally whilst WFS managed the whole process. WFS are continuing to strengthen their relationship with Cadent and offer on-going support with various projects. With its UK wide network of consultants, quantity surveyors and engineers, WFS can utilise their skills and expertise to manage a project taking the pressure and additional work away from their clients.
